Who am I? And what is this blog about?

As you can see on the right side, my name is Cristiano, I was born in 1989 (Gregorian Calendar). The same year when the 1st person was indicted under the 1986 Computer Fraud and Abuse Act for releasing a computer virus.

This year, I am celebrating my 21st year and the begin of university life in Middlesex. Robert Tappan Morris (the man who was convicted to release the virus) is also celebrating! He won $1000 and the SIGOPS Mark Weiser award 2010.

During all those years, a lot of things changed. There are companies spending thousands on research to protect users from much more complex virus then those built 20 years ago, there are even specialist department on police who are looking for cyber crime gangs which worth $70 million!

But how the virus works? Why the anti-virus program doesn't make our computer 100% secure?  And this is what I want to talk about on this blog. Not only virus, but all the technology around us that, sometimes, looks so simple to use, but the people don't really know how it works, and what we can do to enjoy it better and safer.

Would be great if you leave a comment here, asking for explanation in a certain topic, and I will do my best to make a new post explaining as simple as possible.

Thank you for visiting,
